The short version
If Filehinge Pro does not do what you need within 30 days of your purchase, email info@filehinge.com and we will issue a full refund. You do not need to fill out a form, justify the decision, or talk to a chatbot.
What “within 30 days” means
The 30-day window starts on the date Paddle charges your card for the first Pro purchase, whether you bought monthly or annual. The renewal that lands 30, 60, 90 days later is a separate transaction and is covered by the policy that applies to renewals (see below), not by the original 30-day window.
How to request a refund
- Email info@filehinge.com from the address you used to purchase, or include the receipt's order ID in the message.
- We confirm the refund within one business day and ask Paddle to process it. The processing itself takes 5–10 business days depending on your bank.
- Your Pro license key is deactivated as part of the refund. The Free tier remains available and unchanged.
Renewals after the first 30 days
A subscription you forgot to cancel is the most common reason people email us after the 30-day window. If you noticed a renewal you did not want within 14 days of the renewal charge, write to us; we will refund that renewal and disable auto-renew. After 14 days, refunds on renewals are case by case but we lean towards yes when the subscription clearly went unused.
How to cancel before the next renewal
Every receipt email from Paddle includes a Manage Subscription link. Open it and click Cancel. Cancellation is immediate; you keep access to Pro features until the end of the current billing period and are not charged again. If you cannot find the receipt email, email info@filehinge.com and we will pull the link for you.
What is not refundable
- Charges older than 12 months. Paddle does not let us issue refunds beyond that window.
- Cases where the same payment method has been used for multiple Pro purchases that were each refunded inside the 30-day window. Repeated refund-and-rebuy patterns are treated as abuse and we may decline further refunds.
Chargebacks
If you dispute a charge with your bank instead of asking us, Paddle will work with the bank to resolve it. We always prefer an email to a chargeback because the email path is faster, costs you nothing, and keeps your card in good standing.
